Myrtle Warren was born in Carroll County, Missouri on March 20, 1886, and there she received her education in the public schools of Carrollton and grew up to womanhood.
She was married to R. E. Jones October 11, 1912. They moved to California in December, 1920, locating on their farm one mile north of Kingsburg, where she lived until called by death. She died December 18, 1923, at the age of 37 years, 8 months and 28 days.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband; one son 11 years of age; an infant daughter; her mother, Mrs. Florence Warren of Kingsburg; five brothers and one sister. Her brothers and sister are as follows: E. Warren, Kingsburg, California; Otis Warren, Los Angeles, California; James Warren, Kansas City, Missouri; G. D. Warren, Bogard, Missouri; O. K. Warren, Jonesboro, Arkansas; and Mrs. P. H. Wilson, Wakenda, Missouri.
She was converted and baptized in the Christian Church when a girl, and has lived an upright, Christian life until the end. She is gone, but her companionship and love will never be forgotten by her loved ones.
The funeral was held from the Free church and was conducted by Rev. Tinsley of the Christian church of Selma, assisted by Rev. Morris Peterson of Kingsburg. She was laid to rest in the Kingsburg cemetery.
Dearest darling, how we miss you None but God can ever tell. Yet we cannot doubt His wisdom, For He doeth all things well. And we feel that you are happy With the loved ones gone before, And ere long we hope to meet you On that bright celestial shore.
