Prescott
Private cremation services for Ellis B. Cornish, 60, who died Thursday at the Veterans
Administration Hospital, will be at Mountain View Crematory. Mr. Cornish was born
in Massachusetts and moved here 17 years ago from Colorado. He was a retired civil
service employee. He had worked at the Veterans Administration Center in Denver for
nine years, and at the VA Center in Prescott since 1957. He had served in the U.S. Army
Medical Corps in World War II in the European Theater. Survivors include his wife,
Harriet; a son, Ellish Cornish Jr. of Prescott; two step-sons, Curtis Porter of Flagstaff
and Stephen Porter of Phoenix; a sister out of state and his mother, Mrs. Beatrice Phillips
of North Hampton, New Hampshire. Memorial Chapel handled arrangements.
