William Allison, (1738-1840), served as colonel of Orange countymilitiaand was delegate to the convention to frame the StateConstitution. Hewas born and died in Goshen. Michael Jackson, (1708-89), served as deputy in the ProvincialConventionand as delegate to the Congress. He was born in Ireland;died in Goshen,N. Y. James Stewart was a member of the Committee of Safety ofStewarttown,where in 1811 he died. Also No. 4440. Luther Stewart, (1752-1836), served in the militia. He was born anddiedin Orange county, New York. Jacob Weis served as deputy quartermaster general of New Jerseymilitia.He was born in German Valley, N. J., where in 1784 he died. Isaac Smith, (1751-1823), was commissioned captain of Essex county,NewJersey militia, 1776.
