"CEMETERIES by Mrs. F. L. Mehlhop .....In 1908, George Halliburton, age 24, died of tuberculosis andwasburied on a new plot of land given by Mr. A. Durand. This wasimmediatelynorth of Glen Marshall's north farm. Later this body wasmoved to Roswelland no one else was ever buried there." From the Roswell Daily Record, April 4, 1908. GEORGE HALLIBURTON DIED TODAY AT DEXTER George Halliburton, aged 24 years, eldest son of C.W. Halliburton,diedthis morning at 3:30 at the home of his father in Dexter. He cameherewith his father and mother from Moberly, Mo., about four years ago.Twoyears ago his mother died of tuberculosis, and it was the samediseasethat caused the death of the son.
