Bonnie J. Chase, 65, wife of Byron Chase, passed away Tuesday, Feb.12,2008, after complications from a stroke she suffered last October.Shewas born Bonnie Jean Todish on Jan. 8, 1943, in Namha, Mich. Sheand herfamily moved to Burns, Ore., and then to Potlatch, where sheattendedschool.
Bonnie married Byron Chase in 1966. They lived in Albion, Wash.,andWenatchee, but have resided in Clarkston for the past 32 years.Bonniespent many years of her life caring for young children andelderlypeople. She was a member of the United Methodist Church inClarkston andwas active with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliaryand the ClarkstonHeights Grange. She belonged to two bunko groups andalso was a member ofthe Clarkston TOPS Club. She was very well knownin her community andwill be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Byron Chase of Clarkston;daughter,Chantelle Freeman and two grandsons, Jake and Chase, ofLittleton, Colo.;stepdaughter, Lauri Chase and grandson RobertHenderson of Clarkston;sisters, Judy Petragallo and Linda Weems, bothof Pasco; brothers, PeteTodish of Richland and Jerry Todish ofLewiston; as well as many otherextended family and friends. She waspreceded in death by sisters,Jeanette Gauthier-LaVallee and JoyceHensel; brothers, Dale, Tom and BudTodish; her son, Ronnie Chase;stepson, Scott Chase; and two grandsons,Daniel Chase and MichaelHenderson; as well as both of her parents, Jakeand Lilly Todish.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at theUnitedMethodist Church, 1242 Highland Ave., Clarkston. The Rev.Barrett Moffettwill officiate.
