- Chester W. Gierczak Born in Pittsfield, Wisconsin on Jul. 9, 1926 Departed on Mar. 6, 2009 and resided in Racine, WI.
Age 82. Died on March 6, 2009 at his residence in Mount Pleasant, WI. He was born on July 8, 1926 in Pittsfield, WI to Joseph and Lottie (Przybylinski) Gierczak. Chester married Helen Gacek on July 9, 1949 at St. Marcellus Church in Mather, PA. She preceded him in death on August 31, 2001. He served in the army from 1944-1946. He worked for the Perfex Co. for 35 years. He then retired to Hatley, WI where he owned and operated the Rustic Inn. Later he worked at the Hatley Veneer Mill.
Survivors include his daughter Christine (Steven) Sundre of Raymond, WI and granddaughter Melissa Sundre of Hales Corners, WI. Brother Vincent (Lois) Gierczak. Sisters Florence Sobanek, Clara Zaremba, and Theresa (Eugene) Wronkowski. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and many sisters and brothers. He is survived by numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday at the FUNERAL HOME from 10-12 pm with a funeral service at 12 pm. Interment Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
