Will Book C, Pages 174 and 175
I, Adna Chapin Conn of the town of Decatur, County of DeKalb, State of Georgia, being of
sound mind and memory, do make, publish, and declare this to be my last will and testament,
to wit:
First - All my just debts and funeral expenses shall be first and fully paid.
Second - I give, and bequeath unto my son Charles Francis Conn, my watch, Masonic
and other jewelry, my mechanical library, tools, books and papers.
Third - I give and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Mary Linie Bates, Five Hundred Dollars,
which must be paid to her by my executor, hereafter named, within on year after my decease.
Fourth - I give, bequeath and devise all the residue remainder of my estate, real and personal
of whatever nature, and wherever it may be, to my daughter Lina Conn Bates and to my son
Charles Francis Conn, their heirs and assigns, to be divided equally between them, share and
share alike.
Fifth - I do hereby nominate and appoint my son Charles Francis Conn, to be the executor
of this my last will and testament, (without bond) and I hereby revoke all former wills by
me made. In witness whereof, I, the above named testator, have hereunto set my hand and
seal, this twenty-third day of May in the year of our Lord Nineteen Hundred and Three.

Then, and there signed, sealed, and published by Adna Chapin Conn, the testator, as and
for his last will, in the presence of us, who, at his request, in his presence, and in the
presence of each other, have hereunto set our names as witnesses.
