Obituary
Aileen Rose Runyan, 84, a longtime Deming resident, passed away at her residence on Friday, July 1, 2011.
A funeral service has been scheduled for 1 o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Baca's Funeral Chapel. Pastor Paul Temple will officiate with a private internment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Aileen was born May 12, 1927 to Jesse Elizabeth Croon and James A. Thompson in Bowie, Arizona. On December 5, 1953 Aileen married her life partner, William Russell Runyan and they had two beautiful girls. She always supported her husband as his secretary and business book keeper.
Aileen loved to entertain any conversation that involved religion and politics. She reveled in hearing about and sharing different thoughts about those two topics. An endearing attribute is that she always took care of anyone who was in need. She never turned anyone away from her welcoming home.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Jerry) Worrell of Farmington and Bennie Ann (Ross) Haeberle of Magnolia, TX; five grandchildren, Casey Bennett, Sabrina Lancaster, Kelsey & Alec Haeberle and Heather Worrell; one great-grandson, Devin Bennett and one sister, Goldie Rice of Deming.
Aileen was preceded in death by her loving husband, William, her parents, sister, Opal Dunn and loving son-in-law, Royce Bennett.
