  Halifax County, Virginia Court - Land and Property Deeds - Compton Will Know all men by these presents that whereas Mary Compton Decd did by will leave unto us the subscribers the tract of land on which she died to be equally divided between us & we have agreed that David Crews Senr & and his son John Crews should divide it between us, which they have done in the following manner to wit: Beginning at a gum on Ben Partins line thence running through the spring and plantation where the subscribers now live to a poplar in the ??????? line now it is to clearly understood that the subscriber Richard Compton is to have the land on the side of P.
