Mr. John Robinson Young, age 87 years, died Wednesday, December 4th at his home in this county following an illness of some duration. Mr. Young made a profession of faith early in life and united with the Good Hope Baptist Church where he remained a faithful member until death. He was united in marriage with Miss Mary Elizabeth Dearen, who preceded him in death nineteen years ago. To this union three sons and one daughter were born, Will Henry Young, Lee Young and R. F. Young, all of this county, and Mrs. Katie Hunt, deceased. One brother, W. L. Young, of Campbellsville, also survives. Funeral services were held at Good Hope Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. T. McFarland, assisted by Revs. D. L. Druien, T. S. Curry, and W. T. Short. Active pallbearers were Richard and Henry Hill, W. H. Young, L. J. Arthur, and J. E. Jones. Honorary were J. H. Hazard, J. M. Durham, J. W. Gupton, John Deener, Ed Wilson and Dr. C. V. Hiestand. The flower girls were Helen Parrott, Winifred Pickett, Dorothy Deener, Margaret Hackley, Mrs. L. J. Jones and Geneva Jones.
