Filed 23 Dec 1823, box 12 -- Warren sold to Huling, Simmerman, and Erwin a tract of 200 acres on Caney Fork of Wolf Creek. The title lay with Joseph Denton. Warren stated he had not been fully paid. Mentioned in 1808 deed of trust from Huling to Warren for a 200 acre tract, the same as in question in the case. An 1818 deed from Joseph Denton and wife Betsey to Andrew Ervin, Simmerman and Huling for the 200 acres on Caney Fork is included. In 1818 Warren was preparing to move to Missouri. There is an 1825 deed from Simmerman and wife Alcy of Cumberland County to Warren for one-third interest in the Caney Fork tract. In 1830 Andrew Erwin and wife Jane of Bedford County, Tennessee made a deed for their one-third interest to the 200 acres, now in Russell County, to Warren. This was the same land granted to Joseph Denton in 1810. Injunction bond of Warren with David Warren as security. Deposition by John Bernard of Russell County, Peter Murphey of Russell County, William Hopper of Russell, William Whitlock and Andrew Johnston.
