• Notes

  In the 1819 Franklin County will of his father Gad Elmer (probated in 1820), Cleon  Elmer and brother Horace Elmer were noted as minors (sons of Gad Elmer), and both above the age of 14. As such they named Ebenezer Emes to act on their behalf with regard to legal matters.  Cleon Elmer received one eleventh of the estate of his father Gad Elmer. Nephi-The first election in Nephi was conducted on the first Monday in May, 1852, according to the Deseret News of December 11, 1852. Officer selected were Josiah Miller, Mayor; Timothy B. Foote, Charles H. Bryan, John Carter and Isaac Grace, Aldermen; Amos Gustin, John Cazier, DavidWebb, James Crabb, Cleon Elmer, Levi Gifford, Ichabod Gifford, ThomasTranter and Miles Miller, Councilors; Zimri H.
