Notes |
- John and Elizabeth Hackley settled near a creek called Occupacia inOldRapphannock, Virginia.
The Hackley family of Occuacia, headed by John and ElizabethHackleysettled there early, as did the Warren family.
In1693, Elizabeth Hackley appointed friend Cornelius Noell powerofattorney to act for her in a land transaction involving William Boulware. From this, itisgathered, that John Hackley Senior may have died, or was weak enough, that he could nottakecare of this transaction.
Previous to 2 November 1694, Jeremiah Parker, husband of Rebecca(Warren)Parker had witnessed a deed for Nicholas Franklin for 20 acres on the south sideofOccupation Run. Nicholas Franklin had sold this land to John Hackley Senior. Thelandwas located next to land already owned by John Hackley Senior.
