Abel married Polly Skaggs on January 13, 1803 in Green County, Kentucky. Bond put up by Abel and Jessica Elkins. Consent by Wm Skaggs as father of Polly, but no Elkins were listed.  Wit. James McVay & Jessa Elkin Listed on 1800 Green County, Ky Tax records were Abel, Nathaniel, David, and Jesse. I have eliminated: Abel - b1776 married Polly Skaggs in 1803. Nathaniel  - was married in 1798 (may be a brother of Abel) David was a baptist preacher, b ca1779. (may also be brother of Abel) This only leaves Jesse who is listed as giving consent  to marriage of Hannah Elkins to Thomas Laxton, married 12 Dec 1799 by Benj. Lynn Jesse also gives consent on 7 Aug 1799 to marriage of Betsy (Patsy) Elkin and William Warren. They were not bonded until 22 Sep 1813 and married, also by Benj. Lynn.
