In the name of God Amen. I, Travis Elmore of the County of RobertsonandState of Tennessee being far advanced in years but of perfect mind and memory and knowing that is is appointedforall men once to die do make and ordain this to be my last will and Testament as follows to wit:
First, I recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to theearthto be buried in a christian like manner.
Secondly, as to the worldly estate which it hath pleased God to blessmewith in this life it is my will and desire it should be disposed of as follows viz;
Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Elmore all myestateboth real and personal during her life to be disposed of in said manner as she may think proper except sucharticlesas is herein ______ and bequeathed
Item, I give and bequeath to my son George Elmore one dollar--
Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Jamima Goodman one dollar--
Item, I give and bequeath to my son Julius Elmore one dollar--
Item, I give and bequeath to my son Henry Elmore one dollar--
Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Stapletononedollar--
Item, I give and bequeath to my grandson Thomas Hibdon one ____grayhorse colt to him and his heirs forever--
Item, I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Polly Hibdon one cowandcalf and one feather bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever--
Item, I give and bequeath to my grandson and grand daughter PeterHibdonand Elizabeth Hibdon one dollar cash and Lastly , I nominate constitute and appoint my beloved wifeMaryElmore sole executor of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling disallowing all former wills by memaderatifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament.
In testimony where of I hereunto set my hand and affixed my sealthisnineteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen.
