- John Dewey Hunt, 88, a retired farmer of Vine Street inCampbellsville,son of the late Robert Tunstall Hunt and Rachel Hiram Hedgespeth Hunt, was born in Marion County Nov. 10,1898.He died at approximately 4 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 12, 1987, at his home. He was a member of theLowellAvenue Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Army from 1923 to 1926. He unitedinmarriage to Bessie Bennett Nov. 3, 1934. She preceded him in death Dec. 26, 1984. He is survived by four sonsandtwo daughters, Fay Smith and Carrell Hunt, both of Campbellsville, Susan Hunt, Lexington, DeanHunt,Louisville, Robert Hunt, Shepherdsville, and Tom Hunt, Vine Grove. Besides his children, he is survived by11grandchildren; one brother, Edgar Allen Hunt, Bargersville, Ind.; several nieces and nephews and manyotherrelatives and friends. The funeral was at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral HomeinCampbellsville by the Rev. Larry Koch. Burial was at the Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church Cemetery. PallbearerswereRolando Hunt, David Hunt, Matthew Smith, Gene Newcomb, Tom Gupton and Robert Bright.
