Henry Elmore from Joseph Dorris March 8th 1833 This indenture made this the 2nd day of January in the year of ourLordone thousand eight hundred and thirty three between Joseph DorrisofRobertson county and state of Tennessee and Henry Elmore of thecountyand state aforesaid witnesseth that I the said Joseph Dorrishath grantedbargained sold and conveyed and by these presents dothgrant bargain selland convey to the Henry Elmore _____ _____ a certaintract or parcel ofland lying and being in the county and stateaforesaid on the waters ofthe Sulpher Fork of Red River. I, Henry Elmore do make this my last will and testament herebyrevokingand making void all other wills by me at anytime made
1st I will and desire that all my just debts and funeral expensesbepaid out of any money or monies that may first come in the hands ofmyexecutors hereafter mentioned
2nd I will to my son John Elmore one hundred acres of land includingtheplace whereon he now lives
3rd I will to my son Reuben Elmore one hundred acres of landwhereinincluding whereon he now lives
4th I will to my wife Elizabeth Elmore one hundred acres includingtheplace where I now live during her natural life and at her death Iwillsaid hundred acres to my son James Elmore and also I will to myson JamesElmore one bedstead and furniture and one cow
5th I will to my wife Elizabeth Elmore my Dunn Mare and four head ofherbest chice of my cows and six head of sheep and six head of hogstwoploghs and two set of ___ two ___ and ___ one axe two weeding hoesandone matlock two bedsteads and furniture six chairs and my ___
6th After desposing of my property and land above mentioned it ismywill that the balance of my land all other property be equallydividedamong my several daughters and granddaughter that is to say AnnElmore,Elizabeth Elmore, Martha Elmore, Nancy Elmore, Sarah Elmore andMary JaneElmore my granddaughter.

Henry Elmore letter of Estate State of Tennessee Robertson CountyCourtto Reuben Elmore a citizen of Robertson County it appearing tothe courtthat Henry Elmore is dead leaving a written will in which youareappointed executor which has been duly proved in open court andyouhaving given bond and qualified according to law and it have beenorderedby the said court that letter of testament are issue to you.These aretherefore to authorize and empower you the said Reuben Elmoreto enterupon the execution of said will and take into your possessionall theproperty and to make to the next court a proper accountingthereof andmake due collection of all debts and after paying all thejust demandsagainst the testator and settling up the business of thesaid estateaccording to law you will pay over and deliver the propertyand effectsthat may come in your hands and do all other things thatmay be requiredaccording to the provisions of the said will and thelaw of the land.Witness E.
