- Lester Michael Coy
Lester M. Coy youngest son of Wm G and Gertrude R. Coy was bornJuly15, 1926 at Washington, Kansas and passed away at theHinesVeteransHospital in Chicago, Illinois on March 26, 1953 at theage of 26 years, 9months and 11 days. His boyhood was spent in Washington, Kansas. He enlisted in theAirForce at the age of 17 and continued in this service until 3monthsbefore his death. At this time he was retired. While in service he spent 1 1/2 year in Japan and 1 year in Germanyand6 years in different ports of the United States. He was married February 9, 1953 to Joan Marie Hamm. He leaves to mourn his passing his widow, Joan of Chicago, hisparentsMr. and Mrs. Will Coy, Brownsville,Nebraska, two sisters - Mrs.ClydeCorbin,Washington,Kansas and Mrs. W.W. Carter, Topeka,Kansas -onebrother Jessie Coy, Jerome,Idaho. Also 2 brothers-in-law, Mr.ClydeCorbin, Washington,Kansas and Sgt. William Carter, London,Englandand onesister-in-law-Mrs. Jessie Coy, Jerome,Idaho, 9 neices andnephews and ahost of relatives and friends. Solemn High Mass was held in St. James Church in Maywood, IllinoisbyFather Gilmore,March 28,1953. The body lie in state in Suburam Chapel. Burial was in Ausen of Heaven Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois.
