Notley Warren (1736-1768) was a son of Barton Warren. He was borninWilliam & Mary Parish about 1736 inasmuch as he declared himself to be 32 years of age on January 1768.Hemarried Sarah, maiden name unknown. The couple had three children: (1) Sarah Warren mar.RobertMassey May 3, 1783, in Wm & Mary Par. (2) Charity Warren b. Nov 1765 mar. John Briscoe (3) JoannaWarrenmar. Robert Rogers.
On March 15, 1758, Notley Warren and Thos. Dutton were sureties forMaryMaddox, executrix of Notley Maddox, late of Chas. Co., Maryland.
The will of Notley Warren was dated July 19, 1768, and proved Oct.29,1768. He bequeathed his wife Sarah the entire estate, but in eventof herremarriage, her dower right. The unnamed daughters were to havetheirshare at marriage. He appointed his brother John Warren andfriendsStephen Compton & Joseph Joy as trustees. His wife and friendMajorZachariah Bond were named executors. (Md Wills Liber 36:646)
The bond of the executrix, Sarah Warren, was dated Oct. 29, 1768,withbondsmen: John Warren, Stephen Compton & William Maddox. Theinventorywas filed Jan. 28, 1769 with John Warren & Edw. Warren askinsmen. By1770, the widow had married (2) James Maddox. On Mar. 20,1771, they bothfiled an account with the court. The final distributionof 708.0.4 pdswas made by James Maddox. (Test. Pro.
