- History of Orange Co, NY 1681:1881, by Rutterber and Clark, page 615. Not far from Gray Station the two pioneer brothers, Josiah andBazaleel Seeley, settled at a early day. They were descendants of SamuelSeeley, who came to this country about 1600. They built their first dwelling,alog house, northeast of Gray Court, on the flats near the present Newbury Branch of the Erie Railroad. The wife of Josiah was Abigail Smith.
