- Dorothy Colony of Clarks Summit died Sunday at home after an illness.
She was the wife of Fred A. Colony who died October 13, 2007, shortly before their 50th wedding anniversary.
Daughter of the late Henry and the Kathleen Cusick Weisenfluh, she was born in Scranton and graduated from West Scranton High School.
She moved to Clarks Summit after her marriage and was a member of Our Lady of Snows Roman Catholic Church, Clarks Summit.
Before starting her family she worked at Calvey Motors. She was later employed as a transcriptionist for an investigator.
Dorothy was a loving Mother and Grammy. She loved to travel and shop and was ready to go anywhere at a moment's notice. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are two daughters, Cathy Decker of Scranton and Barbara Colony of May Landing, N.J, a brother, Robert and his wife Eleanor of Erie, two grandchildren, Joseph and Christine Decker of Scranton, and two nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Henry, Jr, Donald, and Edmund J. Weisenfluh.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday February 20th in Our Lady of Snows Roman Catholic Church, South State Street in Clarks Summit. Those attending the mass are asked to proceed directly to the church. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Friday evening, February 19th, at the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc, 125 North Main Avenue in West Scranton, from 6 to 8 P.M.Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Luke's Cancer Care Center at St. Luke's Hospital (C/O Development Office 801 Ostrum Street Bethlehem, 18015).
