From the e-mail correspondence of Joyce Moore: About Richard Michael Waldrop,
I came across that in a court documentin Maury Co., Tennessee. Michael Jr. got into
a fight with someone or something and I guess the whole family got involved. At one
point the papers refer to him as Richard Michael Waldrip. I thought it was a fantastic
find. Thereis a Richard Waldrop in Laurens Co., S.C.. I think that is significant and
bears looking into. I feel that he was some kin.
If Richard Michael Waldrop was born about 1774-1775, as some records suggest, then
he most likely would have been still living with his father in 1790 & possibly the 1800
census.
