- Beatrice Skaggs Allen Kessler, 97 Beatrice Skaggs Allen Kessler, 97, of Buffalo, passed away Dec. 4,2005,at Hardin Memorial Hospital. A native of LaRue County, she was a member of Mt. Tabor BaptistChurch,member of Womens Missionary Union, secretary and treasurer,past memberof Buffalo Chapter of Eastern Star, and a retired schoolteacher with 23years of service. She was preceded in death by her husbands; James Howard Allen andColbyKessler; a son, Jesse Lee Allen; her parents, Henry Blain andViola StarFerrill Skaggs; a brother, Joel Henry Skaggs; and a sister,Ruby InezMerhoff. She is survived by a sister, Thelma Chelf of Elizabethtown;adaughter-in-law, Earnestine Allen of Buffalo, sister-in-law, LucySkaggsof Buffalo; two grandchildren, Stephon Allen and Debbie ofClarksville,Tenn.; Melinda Allen Skaggs and Larry of Memphis, Tenn.;threestepchildren, Donald and Becky Kessler of Franklin, Harry andBrendaKessler of Greensburg and Marylin Kessler Pruitt of Greensburg;fourgreat-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; andtwelvestep-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. at Billy Howell FuneralChapelin Hodgenville with the Rev. Roger Pepper officiating. Burialwill followin Mt. Tabor Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Dec. 6, and Dec. 7, at 9 a.m. atthefuneral home until time of service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Mt.TaborBuilding Fund.
