- Waldrip, Raymond Austin 1921-2005 Funeral for Raymond Austin Waldrip, 84, of Boyd was to be at 2p.m.Wednesday, April 13, at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. TheRevs.Lyle Asbill and David Henry were to officiate. Burial was tofollow atBoyd Cemetery. Waldrip died Sunday, April 10, 2005, in Sulphur, La. Born April 10, 1921, in Alvord, he was a retired aircraftmaintenanceworker for American Airlines and served in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sybil; a son, Charles; andabrother, Ernest. He is survived by two sons, Raymond Waldrip and wife, Anita, andJ.T.Thompson and wife, Joyce, all of Boyd; two daughters, ShirleySmith ofArgyle and Helen LaDoux and husband, Danny, of Sulphur; twobrothers,Albert Waldrip of Fort Worth and Willie Waldrip and wife,Honoria, ofIrving; two sisters, Vessie Adams of Boyd and Velma Hammondand husband,Floyd, of Odessa; and 10 grandchildren and 14great-grandchildren.
