- September 1870 Taylor County Will Book 1, Page 184 - "Will of Richard Dearen" To my wife, Mary Dearen, all my lands which I own at my death, forherlifetime or widowhood. At her death or re-marriage, the lands are to be sold and equally distributed among all my children: Elizabeth Warren, Martha Sympson, Robert F. Dearen, Louisa K. Underwood, Susan Bragg, Amand Ford, and Kasandre Schooler. The first 3, are children of my first wife.
Listed in the Will of Robert Craddock as Richard Dearing, son in law.

Richard Dearen alternate Birth date could be 21 November 1793, per records of Mrs. Eddie L. Palmer in 1962.
All children birth dates per Mrs. Eddie L. Palmer, of Shreveport, Louisiana, who is a direct descendant through Cassander E. Dearen.
Middle initial "D" listed in War of 1812 pension request records.
- (Research):In 1855 War of 1812 declaration, stated his age to be 62 (born abt 1797); and a resident of
Taylor County, Kentucky. Served under Captain Warner Elmore in the 9th regiment
of Kentucky Volunteers as a private. Another Taylor County, Kentucky declaration in
January of 1851 stated his age to be 57 years of age (born about 1794) and servied in
the 9th regiment of the Kentucky mounted Volunteers as a private.
In Mary Hutcheson's widows pension claim; it was stated that Richard Dearen
and Jane Craddock were married on 17 October 1820 and Jane Craddock died
on the 16th of April, 1834, aged 31 years and 23 days. This information was
ascertained through Green County, Kentucky county court record which stated
the info came from the old family bible.
