- HENRY G. DESPAIN
Mr. Henry G. DeSpain, son of the late John Willie DeSpain andMelissaSkaggs DeSpain, was born 14 Apr 1907 in Green Co., Ky anddeparted thislife 17 July 1977, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital inElizabethtown, Ky.
He was 70 years old.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member ofthePleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Larue Co. at the time of hisdeath.
Mr. DeSpain was united in marriage to Mary Lucy Thomopson, whoprecededhim in death on 22 June 1971.
To this union were born 2 daughters and 5 sons: Miss Edna DeSpain,MissSusie DeSpain, Harold DeSpain, Lewis DeSpain, Ronald DeSpain,CalvinDeSpain, and Jerry DeSpain, all of Mt. Sherman, Ky.
He is also survived by 4 brothers: Ernest DeSpain, Mt. Sherman, Ky,;LeeDeSpain, Allendale, Ky; Sam and Luther DeSpain, both of Magnolia,Ky.
Three grandchildren and 5 step-children also survive.
Funeral services were conducted at the Cowherd and Parrott FuneralHomeat 2:00 p.m. Tuesday 19 July 1977 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemeteryin LarueCo with the Rev. Kenneth Bloyd officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were Tommy DeSpain, Daymon Goldsmith,DouglasDeSpain, Charles DeSpain, Norman Skaggs, and Marion DeSpain. With permission of the Greensburg Record Herald
