CLAYTON, N.M. - J Heimann, 65, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, inAlbuquerque. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with theRev.Billy Rammage, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in ClaytonMemorialCemetery by Hass Funeral Directors.
Mr. Heimann was born April 27, 1928, on the family ranch near HaydentoFred Paul Heimann and Floy Mae Shields Heimann. A lifelong residentofUnion County, J attended school in Hayden through the eighth gradeandthen finished school in Clayton, where he graduated in 1945. Hethenattended college at West Texas State University in Canyonbeforereturning to the ranch to help his family.
J married Owaissa Heimann on June 30, 1979, in Clayton. He waschairmanof the Ute Creek Soil and Water Conservation board and was amember ofthe New Mexico Cattle Growers and the National Cattlemen'sBeefAssociation. He served on the Amistad school board and was achartermember of the Hayden Cowboy Club and the Amistad and HardingCounty firedepartments. J was a member of Hayden Baptist Church formost of his lifeuntil they closed the church and they transferredtheir memberships toFirst Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Randall Lynn"Randy"Heimann, on Aug. 3, 1983.
Survivors include his wife of Bueyeros; three sons, Jay Dee Heimannandwife, Kim, Gene Heimann and wife, Deborah, and Russell Heimann, allofBueyeros; two daughters, Oweida Franz and husband, Clinton, ofClaytonand Kodie Hauser and husband, Lesley, of Texline, Texas;ninegrandchildren, Cody J. Heimann and wife, Hesper, Jesy Hauser andJanaeHauser, all of Texline, Myah Crisp and husband, Billy, of Sedan,MorganHeimann, Ty Franz, Talisha Franz and Tessa Franz, all ofClayton, andChance Heimann of Bueyeros; six great-grandchildren, WyattHeimann andRhett Heimann, both of Texline, Mason Crisp, McKinlee Crispand MandyCrisp, all of Sedan and Adrian Heimann of Clayton and twosisters,Pauline Robertson and husband, Howard, of Dalhart, Texas, andJohnannAdee and husband, Bobby, of Texline.
