- James H. Custer I
GRAFTON -- James H. Custer I, 63, of Grafton passed away Thursday April 1, 2004, at his residence.
He was born August 23, 1941, in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Charles N. Custer and Mary C. Fawcett Bray of Grafton, who survives.
He attended the Harmony Grove Baptist Church and the Pruntytown United Methodist Church. He was a professional gourmet in the restaurant industry and was a property investor and restorer. For the last year and a half, James has faithfully cared for his mother.
He is survived by two sons: James H. Custer II of Lansing, MI, Jason H.Custer of Clarksburg, WV; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lou Felts of TN; and two brothers, John Custer and wife Peggy of Pruntytown, and Danny Custer and wife Marilyn of CA.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2004, attheBartlett Funeral Home, Grafton, with the Rev. Dwight Baldwinofficiating.Interment will follow in the West Virginia National Cemetery, Pruntytown, where military graveside rites will be rendered by VFW Post 3081, DAVChapter 24 and American Legion Post 12. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 2-9 p.m.
