- Was born as Francis Harold Mattson to an unknown father and Marie E.Mattson,
later in life he changed his name to Francis Harold Leamy because he wanted to
cover up that he was illegitimate, he isn't actually related to anyone named Leamy,
and his mother never had a relationship or married a man named Leamy.
LEAMY, FRANCIS HAROLD SR., 85, of New Port Richey, died Thursday (May 25, 2000) at home.
Born in Gardner, Mass., he came here 30 years ago from Haydenville, Mass.
He was a retired physical therapist for Veterans Hospital, North Hampton, Mass., and a member of
Community Congregational Church, New Port Richey.
He was a past master of the Hampshires Masonic Lodge, Haydenville, and member of the Bandits
League of Magnolia Country Club. Survivors include his wife, Olive; two sons, Francis H. Jr.,Spring
Hill, and Dennis, Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
