He was a chemist for Cyprus Mining Company. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Barta of Globe; threedaughters,JoNelle Barta of Globe, Alice Granillo of Miami, and SusanPhilbrick ofRose Hill, Kan.; one sister, Martha Jean McClintick ofColorado Springs,Colo.; six grandchildren and threegreat-grandchildren.
