- Hi List, The oldest known Warren in Lincoln county is Captain William Warren moved into KY in 1779 and settled on the Dix River in Lincoln Co. KY. Lived in stockade at "Warren's Fort", south of Danville KY. Capt. William Warren died in LINCOLN CO, KY on 3 Sep 1819, aged eighty years.
Captain Warren and Catherine, his wife, had issue: JUDGE William Warren, died 14 April, 1825, Lincoln County, Kentucky. Known children of Judge William Warren (a son of the Captain), 1. William Warren, Jr. of Georgetown, father of Marie Warren who d. 3Apr 1834 at age 18, and 2. Ann C. Johnson, w/o E. L. Johnson of Georgetown and "dau of JUDGE WILLIAM WARREN, decd." Mrs. Johnson d. 19 Aug 1836.

To daughter, Francis Burch, and Polly Taylor. To Lettice Ewing, John Warren. The children of Ann Stephens, William Warren, Elizabeth Kennedy, James Warren, Thomas B. Warren, Samuel W. Warren, and Polly Taylor, to be divided in 9 equal parts, deducting for Francis Burch and Winifred Ewing. Exec's., sons John, William, James, Thomas B. and Samuel. Will written 17 May, 1817. Witnesses: Samuel Moore, I.Shelby, Jr., Even Shelby. Probated 11 Oct 1819.
