  Lengthy Green County, Kentucky circuit court suit between William Barret and the Black family heirs provided some general information of this family.   Jeremiah/Sarah had at least 10 children; per one circuit court record of May 1842. The suit was triggered after the 1833 death of father Jeremiah Black; and at that time; only Mary "Polly" Black had died before 1833. The suit named the following children of Mary "Polly" Elmore as heirs: William H. Elmore Hiram P. (or T.)
